NEW YORK, May 18, 2018 /PRNewswire-iReach/ — New York based marketing design studio reitdesign continued its winning streak, adding 5 Gold Communicator Awards this month to its roster for work on Javits Center’s 2016-17 Annual Report & a special Sustainability Report for the facility, as well as for the New York International Auto Show‘s 2017 Annual Review.  In addition, 2 promotional concepts also won Gold: one for Douglas Elliman’s Stanton Hoch Team for a Thanksgiving gift and another for reitdesign‘s 2017 holiday promotion.

To date in its 23-year history, reitdesign has won 48 marketing & design awards for a wide range of projects and industries, underscoring the studio’s facility to translate business needs into effective marketing strategies.

GOLD: Javits Center’s 2016-2017 Sustainability Report

Located on Manhattan’s West Side, the Javits Convention Center is a model for sustainable practices in New York City and required a report that beautifully told and illustrated the many examples of its environmental commitment. Entitled “Greening America’s Busiest Convention Center,” the report highlighted the Center’s environmental assets, from its 6.75-acre green roof to its recycling program and cost-saving energy management and conservation program, using custom graphics and visually appealing stats. The report also explained how Javits Center’s 1.2 million square-foot expansion currently underway will continue its sustainability mission through LEED certification. Javits Center’s dedication to sustainability enhances the quality of life of its employees, the surrounding neighborhood and ecosystem—an initiative that further distinguishes the facility as the convention center of the future.

GOLD: Javits Center’s 2016-2017 Annual Report

Every Javits Center Annual Report highlights its exhibiting capabilities and achievements throughout the year, as well as financial records and plans for the future. The 2017 edition was broken into six distinct sections focusing on Javits Center’s achievements and initiatives. Icons were designed to represent each of these, and achievements highlighted with sections that were color coded, breaking from Javits Center’s traditional black and gold palette. The report was characterized by stunning images of the photogenic space, as well as large quotes and impressive statistics highlighting Javits Center’s efforts and impact, in terms of efficiency, sustainability and the city’s economy.

GOLD: New York International Auto Show’s 2017 Review

As the country’s oldest and most prestigious car tradeshow, the New York International Auto Show’s marketing materials must reflect the glamour, style and innovation that sets this event apart and for 2017 reitdesign created a sleek, streamlined report to reflect the excitement and dynamism of the New York show. The spot varnish front cover (incorporating artwork modified from the show poster) opened into a closed gatefold, which further opened in each direction to reveal a four-panel spread across two different paper stocks (cover and text). The open gatefold served as an overview of the 2017 show’s success and events, as well as preview of some of the report’s contents. Inside, the cover’s red ribbon device was employed across spreads to divide images from text. The main content of the report combined bold headlines, breathtaking photography with detailed statistics explaining every facet of the show’s appeal, influence and impact.

GOLD: Stanton Hoch Thanksgiving Promotion
To help the Stanton Hoch Team express their gratitude to clients for being part of their banner year, reitdesign developed a festive Thanksgiving Promo that included 7 to-go containers designed to hold leftovers from Thanksgiving dinner. In addition to the handy containers, the promo package included labels on the wraparound sleeve and container lids that were imprinted with fun facts about the holiday (“No Forks at the First Thanksgiving,” “Don’t Blame Turkey for the ‘Food Coma,'” and more). Intermingled with the Turkey Day trivia were eye-opening statistics and surprising facts about the Stanton Hoch Team.  A separate, Stanton Hoch-branded notecard featured a Thanksgiving message to clients, tying the promotion together. The product kept the Stanton Hoch Team’s name top of mind with existing and prospective clients during the holidays, and beyond.

GOLD: reitdesign Holiday Promo: “The Gift of Giving”
For its annual holiday promotion, reitdesign wanted to deliver a much-needed message of hope. Inspired by the theme “The Gift of Giving,” reitdesign departed from the tradition of sending gifts to clients—by putting some of our favorite NYC charities in the spotlight. The promotion was housed in an eye-catching “Gift of Giving” mailing tube that contained a tote bag; five sets of circular cards that featured gold metallic and raised UV pattern printing; five stylized enamel pins, each representing a specific category of charity; and a fold-out description sheet that explained the purpose of the promotion. The circular cards—held together by the custom-designed enamel pins—were imprinted with memorable, charity-related quotes; other cards featured a description of the charity’s mission, along with its mailing and website address. Taken together, this unique, timely promotion not only reinforced the holiday spirit of giving, it helped raise the profile of charities whose work is more vital than ever.
